Welcome to the home page of Deal Detachment, A`Coy , Kent Army Cadet Force.

The Army Cadet Force is one of the country's leading voluntary youth organizations. Not part of the Army, as many think, it is partly funded by the Ministry of Defence.

It's current strength nationally is a staggering 40,000.

Membership is open to young men and women between the ages of 12 and 18 who all have one major thing in common ... the quest for action and adventure.

Members of the Army Cadet Force wear uniform and hold military ranks and it has a training syllabus based upon the proven morale-building techniques and activities of the military way of life.

No one is under any obligation to join and they can leave at any time. The ACF is a very good hobby for the youth of today to get into as it inspires them to achieve which is the main ethos of the ACF Charter. We are not here to recruit for the armed forces although it is fair to say that a good proportion of the leaving cadets do go into one of the armed Tri-services.

All adult staff are fully CRB vetted and are fully trained and qualified.

The Army Cadet Force has many Regimental Affiliations.

Our Regimental Affiliation is the 2nd The Royal Tank Regiment.

Below is a list of the Regiments and their cap badges which can be found in Kent Army Cadet Force.

  • Princess of Wales`s Royal Regiment
  • Royal Artillery
  • Royal Engineers
  • Royal Tank Regiment
  • Royal Signals
  • Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers
  • The Parachute Regiment

We are recruiting now for Cadets and Adult Leaders.
